Most people feel little to no discomfort as the hair-thin needles are placed. You may notice a brief pinch, pressure, warmth or heaviness. Dry needling can create a short muscle twitch or temporary soreness. We explain what to expect and encourage you to speak up at any time.

How many visits will I need?
The number of visits varies based on your condition, goals, and response to treatment. We do not require a predetermined course of care.
Do I need a referal?
No referral is needed. You can contact us directly or schedule online.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated. Shorts or a tank top may be helpful for coms concerns. Athletic shorts and/or gowns are available by request if needed.
Are the needles safe and sterile?
Yes. We use sterile, single-use needles that are discarded safely after treatment in an appropriate sharps container.
Will I be sore afterward?
Many patients feel relaxed. Mild, temporary soreness can occur, particularly after dry needling.
Is acupuncture the same as dry needling?
No. Both use fine needles, but acupuncture uses selected points while dry needling targets specific muscles and trigger points.
