You will need a scale to weigh-in every week as well as 10-panel urinalysis test strips (available with the remote consult packages on the Natural Fit Shop, by calling the office, or over the counter at any pharmacy or drugstore).
Urinalysis How To
First, download and print out a urinalysis tracking sheet.
The best time of day to test is in the morning when you first empty your bladder. You can fill a small cup, urinate directly on the strip, or use an eyedropper. Try to expose the urinalysis strip for two seconds.
We read the test strip from bottom to top, that is, read colors starting from closest to where you hold the test strip (long blank end). In this order, the tests are: GLU (Glucose), BIL (Bilirubin), KET (Ketones), SG (Specific Gravity), BLO (Blood), pH (acidity or alkalinity), PRO, (Protein), URO (Urobilinogen), NIT (Nitrites), LEU (Leukocytes).
After 30 seconds
Read the color of GLU (Glucose), and BIL (Bilirubin).
After 40 seconds
Read the color of KET (Ketones).
After 45 seconds
Read the color of SG (Specific Gravity).
After 60 seconds
Read the color of BLO (Blood), pH, PRO (Protein), URO (Urobilinogen), and NIT (Nitrites).
After 120 seconds
Read the color of the last test LEU (Leukocytes).
